16 imagesHome - where the mountains meet the desert. This is a challenging place, and there's an almost rhythmic spell here that's dramatic and misunderstood. Whether you live here or just visiting, the Great Basin demands a different type of mindset. This place makes you work for its magic light. If you're willing to slug it out on long dirt roads, or bushwhack through an overgrown canyon hundreds of miles from any convenience - then by golly, you've earned your reward! This is a tribute to one of the last wild and undiscovered places in America ... and a place that I've been proud to call home for many years. Welcome to the Great Basin.
11 imagesThis life of mine began with my toes in the sand on the shores of a grand ol' lake. Tahoe's light is a treat to discover where every shoot is never the same. Whether you're kayaking its waters, skinny-dipping off its boulders, or setting up during magic hour, any time spent here is time well wasted. With a place that's loved to death, the challenge is coming away with captures that are fresh and original. All in all, I think I've come away with some pretty spectacular shoots. Despite the many places I've been, Lake Tahoe remains dear to this boy's heart.
22 imagesThe waterfalls of the Pacific Northwest are legendary. With the highest concentration of waterfalls in the world we sure as heck know what we're doing. Ode to muddy boots, wrinkled toes, splashes of color, and one helluva place to walk with Ma Nature.
